Description

A timeline-based video editor for the browser. Timeline: multi-track lanes (video, audio, captions) with drag-to-move clips, trim handles on both ends, snap-to-playhead and neighbor snapping, ripple-delete, and a ruler with zoom in/out. Clip actions: split at playhead, copy/paste, duplicate, and color-coded track headers. Playback: a preview canvas with play/pause, frame-accurate scrubbing (arrow keys nudge a frame), and a looping region selector.

Editing features: transitions between clips (crossfade, fade-to-black, wipe) with adjustable duration, per-clip effects (speed 0.25x-2x, brightness/contrast via filter), and a caption track (add text clips with start/end and styling, or import an SRT). Export: WebM/MP4 via MediaRecorder or a server-side render adapter, with a resolution and bitrate selector. The underlying model is a plain JSON 'project' (clips, tracks, effects) that serializes to a shareable file — so saves and collaboration are trivial. Ships with a sample project and a keyboard-shortcut cheat sheet.
